Part Time Machine Operator

£15,000 pro rata

Job Description	Our client is based in Watford and are looking for an experienced Part Time Machine Operator to work within their factory / stores area. The hours will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week. Each shift will rotate as standard, from 06.00-14.00 and 14.00-22.00 which will be rotated on a weekly basis. • Daily duties will include running a “Wicketting” Machine, which produces bags of various sizes and or either running a “Slitting” machine which produces slit reels of varying lengths and widths. • Filling out production worksheets and dealing with all aspects of quality control. • Packing finishes product in appropriate boxes with the correct quantity or wrapping reels. • Keeping machine and surrounding working areas clean and free from debris at all times. • Making slight adjustments to the machine in order to maintain a quality end product. This process requires someone that is extremely observant, numerate and has good paperwork skills. All of the above areas will involve a supervised training period where all aspects of the process will of course be explained. Work wear is issued and must be worn at all times. Some lifting is involved but none of extreme weight. All employees will undergo a company induction and a short training session in the following areas (A) Health & Safety (B) Fire Safety (C) Manual Handling and Lifting and (D) Environmental Awareness.
