Job Description My client, based in Hemel Hempstead are very successful in their field and are looking for a Sales & Marketing Analyst to join their Sales Team. Key Accountabilities: Marketing Spend Control ·To maintain the integrity marketing calendar,the main marketing spend control mechanism in EUL. ·Hold biweekly meetings with main stakeholder to review monthly and quarterly spend against budget. ·Update the marketing calendar with any changes made to approved spending plans. ·To issue reports from the marketing calendar to inform stakeholders of current position. ·To update marketing calendar with actuals on a monthly basis. ·Issue Marketingpurchase ordertracking reports. ·To be a central pointfor Sales and Marketing staff to speak to with regard advice on spend approval and budget control. Revenue Reduction Accrual ·To maintain the BPA (Business Plan Achievement) calculation workbook ensuring product updates are included. ·Calculate the month end accrual using the workbook and analyse results to give commentary on numbers and variances. ·Analyse payments made against the accrual ensuing correct allocation against product areas. ·Control and prepare further revenue reducing accruals, ensuring the correct level of provision is maintained by customer and by product category. ·Prepare reconciliations for month end for accounting and reporting. ·Meet with sales teams to ensure all rebates are captured and accrued for. ·Review accrual position with sales teams to ensure correct level is maintained. ·Prepare any adhoc provisions are they arise. Price Lists Assist in the update the pricing database with changes to prices. Collect pricing information from Europe. Refresh price lists monthly and inform EUL when ready. Liaise with Business Managers to ensure the database in complete and has been updated with new products. Overall responsibility for the integrity of price lists in EUL Commercial Management Assist team to prepare for and complete month end responsibilities of revenue reductions andmarketing accruals. Assist/ oversee preparation of reconciliations at month end for review by local management To collect and help prepare month end reconciliations for post month end pack. Provide commercial and financial commentary on prepared numbers from the team. Assist end ensuring internal and external financial and JSOX audits are completed without any issues. Assist in preparation of commissions targets and actuals. Assist in preparation of Sales and Marketing reporting including Performance Tracker and Dashboard. ØIT related experience in SAP and Business Warehouse at intermit level. ØAn intermediate level or above user of Microsoft Excel ØExperience in Microsoft Access. ØA self starter with a “Can do!” approach to problems, through identification to solution and subsequent monitoring. ØThe ability to work within a team environment ØHave the ability to influence at all levels with both excellent written and verbal communication. ØStrong problem solving skill with a logical approach ØNumerate ØExperience of working within a commercial environment in a Sales & Marketing company ØKnowledge of an accountancy environment (month end, journals etc) ØExperience of management reporting for finance for non-financial managers Knowledge and Education: ØCIMA stage 1 passed or above ØCommercially and financially aware.
